RQL is the abbreviation of “RedDot Query Language”. RQL is the programming interface for the Open Text Management Server. Almost all actions that can be executed via the normal frontend (SmartTree, SmartEdit, Server Manager) can also be executed via the interface RQL.
Over the last few months I was part of a secret Open Text CMS Community mission. This is the outcome based on the works of Danny Baggs and many others.
This whitepaper has been submitted by Phil McKenzie, a RedDot freelancer who encountered a very common but not so easy to solve problem – building microsites within only one RedDot project but keeping the layout and additional functions flexible.

Right before Christmas, RedDot Open Text released CMS version 9.0.0.27, which is now called “Open Text Web Solutions Management Server”. Maybe not the most catchy name.
According to the release notes, there were no real important changes compared to 7.5 SP2 (except for exchanging the RedDot logos for Open Text), but I had no opportunity to install and test it yet. — Did you? Share your experiences!
