This is an idea myself and others are playing with at the moment. I would like to get your ideas and thoughts on this to grow, connect and mature the current Open Text Web Solutions Community approach. In my opinion there is no clear community, developers and partners have this blog, clients contact authors of this blog directly to get a good estimation on what’s best practice and then there is the Google Group for developers but no real place of a community yet.
Create (or maybe merge) a community for developer, partner and clients which are driven by well known participants within the current communities (google groups, certain reddotcms blogs, you name it, ..) aligned under the (brand) banner of OT but still with enough “street credibility” to be authentic.
New posts will be moderated based on guidelines which are set up together. This creates an authentic and user (and vendor) friendly social space to grow trust and gain user feedback within a controlled section.
There are more ideas and already a lot of thinking behind this idea and trust me when I say that partners have already discussed setting up such a thing.
I believe it’s worth it to be on the same page. You?
Please feel free to contact me for more or comment below.
There is a great new site just being launched on the OpenText server.

As a new RedDot developer, this would be an incredible resource!
Markus yes please do create an OpenText communtiy! I love your work man!
Yes it will be a great resource. We can take an example of Documentum developer community site and their powerlink support site.
I think this would be helpful given the evolving roadmap for “RedDot”
The benefit of Open Text being involved is that they will retain some control of how the community operates. If this idea doesn’t go ahead then Open Text risks a community being set up of which they have no control whatsoever.
Put me on board too! (A different Tiffany)
Is that going to be a common place for all the OTX technology users or just the CMS and LS?
I would prefer a Reddot Community, personal preference.
