RedDot CMS 9.0 released
Right before Christmas, RedDot Open Text released CMS version 9.0.0.27, which is now called “Open Text Web Solutions Management Server”. Maybe not the most catchy name.
According to the release notes, there were no real important changes compared to 7.5 SP2 (except for exchanging the RedDot logos for Open Text), but I had no opportunity to install and test it yet. — Did you? Share your experiences!

About the author:
Frederic Hemberger lives in Cologne, Germany where he works as a technical consultant and senior RedDot developer. After years of studying the ancient and mysterious ways of content management, he acquired the black belt of RedDot-fu. After teaching many students in the weird ways of the Dot, he retreated to the old misty mountains to meditate. Legends tell that he finally reached the mysterious state of IoRangeNoRedDotMode.
I installed the upgrade and only had a minor issue with upgrading the project databases that OpenText/RedDot support helped me through. I did noticed the install didn’t make me reboot to upgrade the Io databases, which I greatly appreciated, since it always did weird things via Remote Desktop.
On the surface, it doesn’t look like much to me.
Looking forward to installing the new version..
Im sure everyone will agree that the new Telerink editor will be a welcomed addition that should solve all of our XHTML compliant woes (no need for HTML Tidy anymore – good riddance!)
I need to know what minor issues can i have with the project databases if I install the upgrade. can anybody can help me with this information please?
