RedDot CMS Plugin: Checkbox or radio button editing

Last week I’ve been to the RedDot Days 08 in Frankfurt. I met Stefan Buchali from the RedDot Premium Partner stoll & fischbach eBusiness. He introduced me to this nice plugin he wrote.

Selecting pre-defined options for your content

Selecting pre-defined options for your content

It looks very simple but the possibilities are just infinite (am I too gushy?).
You can edit the content of an text- or standardtext element with pre-defined values via selecting them by using checkboxes in the RedDot CMS SmartEdit mode.
Use cases therefore could be:

  • A list of groups for right management in RedDot LiveServer
  • Tagging content with another kind of pre-defined keywords
  • I think even “related” contents could be connected if you would use a list to fill up the options field
  • .. much more..

Ok, enough, where can I get it??

Here is the link to the blog entry with the download. It comes with a great manual easy to implement, and even a demo template is included. I just would like to thank Stefan for that great piece of work.

What do you think about it?
For what would you propose to use it?
